Find out how you can follow this career pathMaking the jump from Retail to our Head Office or Field team is a common occurrence; we have many examples of employees who in the past and present have been groomed for that next level of management.
Follow the steps below to see how a career in retail can take you right through from retail and customer service to a fabulous role in our head office team.
If you’re thinking about applying for a role in one of our many brands we prefer you to have the following credentials;
You can expect that your days on counter will be fast paced and energetic. There is always something to keep you busy, whether it is serving customers utilising our high touch philosophy, educating customers on products, techniques and skin care regimes, merchandising products, on counter coaching/mentoring and or administration activities.
At Estée Lauder Companies our Retail employees are the face of our brands. Each retail employee is a beauty, trend and style authority. This means looking the part. Customers are attracted to our counters as they know they can expect to be served by Retail employees who will be wearing the latest trends or classic makeup – they want to be able to replicate that look. Excellent grooming is an important component of who we are.
Working in a one of our brands signifies team work. On counter our Retail Employees work in teams and as such need to build collaborative relationships built on trust and respect. This environment creates an ambiance where information, ideas and knowledge are shared with ease.
If you have an interest in working in management or in head office it is important to be vocal and speak to your manager. We don’t know you’re interested unless you tell us. The path to a role in head office doesn’t necessarily mean an employee has to gain a Retail Management role to progress their career. However, in most cases it does help your long term career path to have management experience.
